Scope and Main Topics

The International Programme Committee of ICOOPMA conference series has been proactive in promoting the discoveries in emerging physics, optoelectronics, materials and devices in the organised sessions in the past and aims to capture popular topics listed below:

Theme I:  Materials and Materials Structures:  amorphous semiconductors, inorganic glasses and glass-ceramics, conjugated polymers and their optoelectronic properties, graphene and nano-scale forms of carbon, IV elemental and III-V and II-VI compound semiconductors. Optical and optoelectronic properties of a wide range of materials and materials systems, namely bulk  and thin film forms of single crystals and polycrystalline materials, photonic crystals, photonic band gap, anti-resonant, and nano and meso structures in fibres and waveguides, quantum wells, wires and dots.

Theme II:  Excitonic, linear and nonlinear processes and characterisations:  electro-optic properties and applications,  harmonic generation and wavelength mixing, luminescence, phosphors, scintillators and applications, scale dependent nonlinear interactions, optical properties and applications, optical memory and polarization induced anisotropy, photo-induced effects (photoconductivity, photo generation, catalysis) and their quantum efficiency analysis),  novel experimental techniques, random scattering and random coherent scattering, supercontinuum spectroscopy, THz generation.

Theme III:  Devices and Applications:  lasers and amplifiers, LED and OLED, plasmonic light sources,  thin film PV, sensors, optical and optoelectronic integration, dissimilar materials integration, mid-IR active and passive devices, data storage and phase change devices, laser-inscribed devices, 2D- and 3D- optical circuits, micro-cavity structures, quantum cascade devices, additive manufacturing and 3D-printing approaches for integrated devices, THz devices, memristive devices, reconfigurable electronics, cognitive applications.

Special sessions in I to IV:  Young Scientists Forum to run every afternoon daily after the second plenary lecture and before the poster sessions the late afternoon until early evening.

Session topics:
